Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to visit Kashmir?

April–June for tulips, blossoms and pleasant 18-25°C days; July–August for high meadows and the Amarnath season; September–October for the saffron harvest in Pampore and the autumn chinar foliage; December–February for snow at Gulmarg and Pahalgam.

No permits are needed for most of the Kashmir Valley. Restricted line-of-control areas like Tulail, Keran, Sadhna and parts of Gurez require an Inner Line Permit, which we arrange in advance for our guests.
