Twenty-nine plates of Kashmir — Srinagar's old city, Pampore's saffron fields, the alpine meadows of Tosamaidan and Doodhpathri, the hidden Warwan and Gurez valleys, Drass and Dachigam, Aharbal's waterfall, the saffron lakes of Wular and Mansbal — composed by hand for slow travellers. Kani-shawl ateliers, Wazwan dinners, Sufi music nights, mushroom foraging, trout streams, photography retreats.
When is the best time to visit Kashmir?
April–June for tulips, blossoms and pleasant 18-25°C days; July–August for high meadows and the Amarnath season; September–October for the saffron harvest in Pampore and the autumn chinar foliage; December–February for snow at Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
Do I need a permit to travel in Kashmir?
No permits are needed for most of the Kashmir Valley. Restricted line-of-control areas like Tulail, Keran, Sadhna and parts of Gurez require an Inner Line Permit, which we arrange in advance for our guests.
