Private vs group Himalayan travel — what changes when you go private
A group tour and a private journey are not the same thing with different party sizes. They are structured so differently that everything changes — the people you eat with, the guide's attention, the routes you can take, the time you have to sit still.
Is private travel really worth the extra cost?
It depends what you value. If you want to know a place deeply, yes. If you want to collect sights, a group tour is more efficient.
Can I do a private journey with just one other person?
Yes. We work with parties of 1–4 people. Pricing adjusts for smaller parties.
Do private guides speak English?
All our guides are fluent in English and often in Hindi and Urdu as well. Ladakhi guides also speak Tibetan.
